Current Projects

  • 1. Working on an R package and manuscript for publication on a novel methodology for screening predictors from high-dimensional omics dataset with rare binary outcomes. This methodology has two methods; one employs ttScreening with Firth’s correction and the other incorporates linear modeling with empirical bayes moderation.
  • 2. Working on manuscript for peer-reviewed publication on a novel methodology using joint likelihood model for variable selection. This method uses MCP (Minimax Concave Penalty) and log-F (1,1) prior penalty terms along with log-likelihood for binary outcome. This model needs a hybrid convergence algorithm (HCA) that runs Newton-Raphson for convergence of log-F (1,1) parameters and Coordinate Descent algorithm for high-dimensional predictor parameters.
  • 3. Working a Bayesian model analogous to the penalty method where researchers can incorporate prior information from current literature and employ a shrinkage system (spike and slab method) for variable selection. The posterior is calculated using metropolis hastings MCMC method for this model.
